This scholarship was created to help fill the need for safe, healthy, nurturing daycare and preschool staff for the Kings Beach/Northshore area. There are many high school students who may lack the means to stop working and/or leave the area to attend classes. Intended for students attending community college with or without plans to then transfer to a four-year school. Open to a wide variety of career paths such as in-home licensed daycare, elementary education certification, special education, preschool teacher, etc. This scholarship is available for online, distance learning, and state certification programs to obtain a Day Care License or pursue Early Childhood Education classes leading to Elementary Teaching Credentials.
Requirements: Minimum 2.5 GPA. Desire to pursue a career in early childhood education.
