Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation has been working tirelessly to support our nonprofits and help them secure the funds they need to get through this unforeseeable crisis. Over the past few months, we have raised more than $840,000 through our COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund and are now preparing to finish the year strong. We are thrilled to announce that we have more than $500,000 to distribute to nonprofits over the fall months so that they can continue to serve the community. These funds will be distributed as part of our fall grantmaking which consists of Emergency Response Funds, Placer Shares funds, TTCF’s annual Community Grant Cycle and Give Back Tahoe.
Placer Shares (August 25-September 7)
Placer County has set aside $8 million of CARES Act Relief funds to assist nonprofits and small businesses in the community. TTCF will be distributing $225,000 to nonprofits serving Eastern Placer County. The application process opens August 25 and the deadline is September 7. Learn More
TTCF’s Community Grant Cycle (September 14-October 11)
We have pushed our annual grant cycle back slightly this year to ensure our nonprofits have ample time to spend on the Placer Shares application. Our streamlined application process allows nonprofits to apply once for grants across multiple grantmaking funds held at TTCF including Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund, the Nature Fund and Tahoe Donner Giving Fund. We strive to award $300,000 and applications will be open September 14-October 11. Learn More
Give Back Tahoe (December 1-15)
Give Back Tahoe will return for its 7th year with some exciting improvements! We have modified the platform so that it is available for nonprofits to use year-round as a donation platform and volunteer portal. The Community is invited to join TTCF and give back to their favorite nonprofits during the Giving Season, December 1-15. TTCF will award an additional $25,000 to help inspire and match donor activities. Learn More
Emergency Response Fund (Ongoing)
Our community continues to support our local nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, including those that are delivering critical programming during our current community challenges. After three rounds of grants, the fund continues to seek and raise new donor gifts. Grants for these critical needs will continue to be distributed in the coming months. Donate Now
None of this responsive, hyper-local grantmaking would be possible without the generous contributions of donors past, present and future. Please consider contributing to our efforts by visiting www.ttcf.net/grantmaking or contacting Stacy Caldwell at stacy@ttcf.net to discuss how you can make a difference in our community today!
