Preserving Tahoe-Truckee’s Greatest Natural Resources
The Nature Fund: Protecting Tahoe Forever
Since 1998, we have always served our environment through grants and more. In 2003, an endowed fund was created to protect our natural resources forever. It now holds $1.5 million.
To date, the Nature Fund has given over $866,000 in grants to protect and preserve wild places and creatures. Furthermore, grants educate the public and make natural spaces accessible to everyone.
The Forest Futures Fund Implementing Creative Solutions
All of us depend on the health of our forests.
In 2015, drought, bark beetle, and blister rust attacked our forests. We knew it was time to protect the heart of our community. It is also time to think differently.
Our forest health issue as an economic, ecological, and community opportunity. We can put our trees back to work for us.
