This year’s Nature Grant Cycle, which is always competitive, hailed many innovative and precedent-setting proposals. Together, the Martis Fund and TTCF Nature Fund rewarded a total of $115,000 to community nonprofits dedicated to environmental issues and educational programs in our region. To the twenty applicants, we are grateful for your participation in this year’s cycle, and for the efforts and passion you put forth throughout the proposal and interview process.
To the twelve grant recipients, thank you for your outstanding proposals; we look forward to watching your visions take root and flourish. To our new committee, thank you for lending your exceptional expertise and environmental passions to the 2014 Nature Grant Cycle, your individual and collective dedication to the Tahoe Region’s environment is so greatly appreciated. And to the Martis Fund and the TTCF Nature Fund, and to all the donors, board members, and staff members who make these funds possible, thank you for your commitment to stewarding our treasured Truckee-Tahoe environments for current and future generations.
