Recently, I had the pleasure to enjoy lunch by the Lake with the power women of Lake Tahoe and Senator Feinstein. Thanks to the efforts of the Tahoe Fund for pulling together this amazing group of leaders. Our conversation focused on many of the unique issues we have here in our region. Of course, the environment was a part of the conversation, as was economic development, transportation and the aging infrastructure around the lake. I was able to share details of my recent trip to Washington D.C. and the conference I attended on Rural Opportunity Investments hosted by the White House Rural Council. From this discussion, we all agreed to come together and discuss ways in which our region could better attract resources for the important projects needed in Tahoe! Very exciting stuff!
