Welcome, Tools & Workshops

It can be challenging to navigate the non-profit world! We welcome everyone to understand what tools and resources are available. In addition to providing grants, we work holistically with nonprofit organizations to support them in meeting their missions and enchaning the North Lake Tahoe region.

The Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center http://foundationcenter.org. As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center's electronic databases, and the Foundation Grants to Individuals Online. The fully searchable databases include detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation's top funders.

  • TTCF offers technical assistance workshops in collaboration with the Parasol Foundation in Incline Village.
  • We also maintain a small lending library. We have resource books on topics such as board development, fund raising, strategic planning, and legal issues. Please contact us or stop by to see if our resource books will be of help to you.
  • In addition, TTCF’s Program Officer is available to answer questions or talk individually with nonprofit board and staff members.

We recommend contacting Phebe Bell, Program Officer 587-1776, to discuss a proposed grant before applying. Phebe will help you understand the grant application process.
